The Dreamer in his bath

Written and directed by

Hugo Bélanger

Take a trip to a marvelous world all in the comfort of one’s bath.

Tribute to the Masters of Illusion of the late 19th and early 20th centuries

The Dreamer’s love left him years ago. So he plunged himself into a bath and has refused to move for 20 years. His son, who cut ties a long time ago, comes to visit him to convince him to get out of the bath and stop his delusions. And now a young stranger also breaks into his home. By telling tales of his life, the Dreamer introduces him to great masters of the imagination such as Georges Méliès, Winsor McCay and Jean-Eugène Robert Houdin. After immersing the young man in cinema, comics and magic, the Dreamer confronts his son who accuses him of being the cause of his mother’s departure. Dream and reality collide through these two wounded characters in search of redemption.

After a fabulous trip Around the World in 80 Days, Tout à Trac pays tribute to the Masters of Illusion of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You are invited to see that you can take a great trip to a marvelous world all in the comfort of one’s bath.
